Gwennara is the goddess of growth, living things, and the waxing half of the life cycle. She oversees celebrations, life events, husbandry, agriculture, relationships, and health. The faithful of Gwennara are often full of both joy and sorrow, just as life is. Many of them have open, loving hearts and a mind that can perceive the beauty or hope in any situation. Those outside the faith can sometimes mistake this outlook as naive or childish, but in fact many of the adherents of Gwennara are those who have gone full circle through the chasms of despair and sadness back to a place where they realize the joy in the small moments. Found among their ranks are farmers, alchemists, nobility, soldiers, and artists.
Gwennara’s influence is complemented by that of Severrin, who governs the waning aspects of the mortal cycle. The two faiths often share followers, worship spaces, and even goals. The first shared worship space, located in Fortune’s Bend, is known to be dedicated to Gwennara during the day and Severrin at night, and many of the temples to these two deities have followed the same pattern.
Gwennara was revealed to the world on November 17, 1217. Although she was merely sleeping, the recorded world had no record of her prior to this date, so much is still unknown.
